Electrolysis is the permanent removal of unwanted hair using a short-wave diathermy current. A fine needle is used to deliver a controlled electrical current into the hair follicle to destroy the hair root. Once it is in place, the current is activated for 1 to 2 seconds, this current eventually destroys the hair follicle tissue, preventing the hair re-growing.
